CJ Clips Journal for June 25, 2007

On Saturday, June 9, 2007 one of the most fun Seedlings Teacher Training Workshops I have done, took place at MET (Missions Exposure and Training) in Pretoria, South Africa.

Among the 31 attending were teachers, pastors, missionaries, and young people...a very different mix than we are used to. I'm sure that mix is what made it so much fun. It was great to have Chris Lupiya along to help with the teaching. Seedlings is now ready to begin in South Africa, although that may still take some time as they have a limited number of Seedlings Booklets and want to make certain they are used in the right places. From this workshop, a committee, lead by Pat Golbeck and Eunice (I'm not even going to try that name!) was chosen to give direction to the ministry of Seedlings in South Africa.

Please pray that God will give them open doors, wisdom to know where to direct their few resources, and that this small start may lead to Seedlings being used mightily in the schools of South Africa to bring about a much needed moral change.

May Evaristo's desire come to pass. When asked in evaluation, "How do you think you could use Seedlings?" he responded, "To change the lives of young children before it's too late."

Another interesting comment came in the evaluation from Selinah (a pastor). She said, "I repent, for leaving the children out and not teaching them."

Wow! If Seedlings Teacher Training Workshops could motivate African pastors to include ministry to children in their church program, let's get busy doing more Seedlings Teacher Training Workshops!

Thanks for your help and partnership in reaching out to the children of Africa!
