Prayer Request for June 16, 2010It has been a sad day in Kitwe and I am asking you to please pray. You may remember the name Cris, as someone I have often mentioned as a Seedlings worker. This morning I received an early morning text message from Cris, expecting it to be news that he and two others were on their way to Lusaka. Instead it was telling me that his wife was in the hospital and he would contact me later with details. The details did come later and it was that his wife had had a miscarriage. So I ask you to please pray that God would heal broken hearts. I'm sure this is very tough for Cris and his wife. Also please pray for the workshop which Cris was supposed to be coming to attend. Cris and Sally were both building a small team to attend a "True Love Waits" workshop which would teach them how to do an AIDS awareness presentation. We have thought this would be a good addition to the Seedlings program, to be able to give this type of a presentation to the entire school in schools in which we have Seedlings Programs. I was told that one of the people Cris was supposed to come with from the Copperbelt was on his way. It is now late and we have to leave early in the morning to get to the workshop in Kafue and still I have not heard from him. I don't know if that means he is still on the way, if he is not coming, if he lost my phone number, or just what. Please pray that God would work out the details and that the right people will make it to the workshop and that we will manage to get enough vision and training to carry on the work with excellence. Please pray for Sally as she will be driving back and forth an hour plus each of the next three mornings at very busy traffic hours. Thanks for praying!
