Prayer Request for July 16, 2002Please pray for calm in Zambia. Last week President Levy Mwanawasa revealed several corrupt practices and misuse of Zambian funds that took place under the rule of former President Frederick Chiluba. Until today Chiluba could not be charged as he was under Presidential immunity. In the past few days there have been several demonstrations against that immunity. Today I passed one, thankfully before things got too ugly! Breaking news this evening says that Parliament has just unanimously voted to lift that immunity. Don't know where all this will lead. What I do know is that we need God in this situation.
