Prayer Request for June 27, 2005Please pray for Assemblies of God missionary friend, Nancy Clark. This morning she was held up at gunpoint. Appears as if she must have been followed home from the bank. When she returned home, four men in a small vehicle forced their way into the gate and at gunpoint demanded "the money". We are rejoicing that Nancy nor Chris, the yardman were injured and that the thieves did not force entry into the house. However, this is still a traumatic thing to go through. Please pray for peace for both Nancy and Chris who faced the gun, as well as Edna who watched from the kitchen window. I'm sure they will need much of God's grace to block that picture from their minds. Pray also that the police investigation will bring about good fruits and that the lost money, cards, and documents will be recovered. Should that happen, we would know it to be a MIRACLE from God and would know to give Him ALL the thanks. Also please pray for health...for Nancy...in the midst of this morning's activity she began to have chest pains. This afternoon she asked that I take her to the clinic. For a nurse, you know that means a potential problem. Thankfully, after tests, she was able to return home, supposing the chest pains to be due to stress and trauma, not any heart problem. While at the clinic, Nancy made me see the Doctor too. Diagnosis...Upper Respiratory Tract Infection. Please pray that the deep, choking cough that I have been having for a week will go away QUICKLY!
