- November 18, 2009 - Today has been a Child Care Plus day
- Today has been a Child Care Plus day, going through some records and reading through letters from children to be sent on to their sponsors. What an encouragement I have received from reading these letters! CCP really is changing the lives of the children. Let me share some snippets from some of the letters...
Jonathan Phiri writes...
How are you and your family by this moment? I reckon everything is under God's care. I am fine despite being busy preparing for the examinations which are due to come in two months's time. I can assure you that I will do my best to pass with flying colours.
Well, I would like to thank you for your restless financial support you are giving me. I would not have been what I am without you. Jehovah Himself will bless you abundantly. So please continue with that heart of responsibility. Once again I am saying thank you very much.
Mulunji Ngoma writes, I passed number 2 out of 35
And from her mother...
My daughter is now at a new school and is doing very fine. I have attached her school report for term II 2009 at the school where she is. Really, you`re making her life what it should be by your sacrifice. May the providence of the Almighty God never bypass you.
Ishmael Ngoma has an interesting twist on things...
Hello my sponsor. To me everything is just cool. I would like to say thank you for what God is doing to me through you. I am praying to our God day and night to add the numbers of your days so that you can do a lot to me. For the Bible says blessed is the hand that gives than the one that receives. For I believe there is nothing impossible with God.
I am well supported by you. Let everything that you do be blessed. Let our God bless you and your family.
Paul Lungu writes how sponsorship was an answer to his prayers...
I have received the money that you sent for me. May God bless you. I was praying to God most of times that you should help me to pay my school fees and something needed for school, like books, shoes, uniforms, and others. Now that God answered my prayer I am just thanking you. Please continue with your helpful and your good heart that you have. May the Almighty God bless you.
Now that you are sending money I will pay for my school fees and to help my sisters. Now I know that when you pray to God your prayers will be answered. Now He has answered my prayer.
Saul Phiri writes...
Am in Great Commission Class at church and I was baptised on 29th August, 2009. Am a new born again Christian. (I'm not sure if CCP sponsorship was the reason Saul became a new born again Christian but I am sure it could have played a part and I am even more sure that it will play a huge part in keeping him on the right road!)
Dingiswayo Kanyinji writes...
Thank you so much for the photo and card you sent me. I like the photo. You look so beautiful. The stickers are nice and I have stuck them in my school books. Thank you for writing to me. I want to thank you so much for the support which you give me. Your support has changed my life. (Do you see how much the children like to hear from the sponsors also? Please, if you are sponsoring a child anywhere, write to him/her.)
And I close with Yakiwe Sibongo writing...
I would like to pass my special greetings to you, am so grateful for the love and care that you are showing us. The money which you are sending to us is really helping me and my family in so many ways, especially to my education and my old grandmother who has been taking care of me since my mother died. When I complete my high school education I intend to study law so that I can become a lawyer and help those who are in need of justice.
What a privilege it is to be a small part in a program that is helping so many children in so many places in so many ways!
If you have ever wondered if sponsoring a child really makes any difference, please know that, Yes, it does indeed!
Thank you to those of you who are sponsoring children throughout the world and making a difference in their lives.
To those of you who are not sponsoring a child, why not give some thought to the difference you could make???
