Update for March 08, 2002

Isn't God's timing wonderful? This morning I had an appointment with Bishop Harrison Sakala, the General Superintendent of the Pentecostal Assemblies of God, Zambia. It was kind of an introduction of me and the work of Seedlings. I wanted to find out if there were PAOG(Z) churches which had schools which could be considered for Seedlings projects. Apparently most of the churches having schools have only Preschool. However, he did have some schools to suggest to me. Even more than suggesting, he took me to two schools and introduced me.

At Damishael School, as I was telling Mrs. Banda that we would be willing to train teachers and supply books, a big smile started coming on her face. Apparently yesterday afternoon the board had a long meeting with the main thing on the agenda being the need to have some training for teachers. The board looks at the teachers as being the ones who will be able to teach the students good moral values and principles for living in a manner that will bring change to their country. So we are looking into using SEEDS to help to give some religious and moral teaching to the teachers in the hope that they will be able to pass it on to their students. Please pray that we will be able to work out the obtaining of books and scheduling of such classes.
