Update for March 14, 2002
GOOD NEWS:
I have found a good mechanic in Lusaka, who I am sure will be dependable and trustworthy.
BAD NEWS:
I found him because I have had to replace the battery in my vehicle.
Two days of push starting was enough for me! Lance Hines, one of the A of G missionaries took me to the mechanic they use and he said there was nothing to do but to buy a new battery.
GOOD NEWS:
I am seeing lots of Suzuki Vitara Escudos around town.
BAD NEWS:
Those Suzuki Vitara Escudos are donated to the Government from outside the country and it is very difficult to get spare parts. To quote the mechanic, "This is not a good vehicle to have in Zambia."
GOOD NEWS:
Maybe that will mean no one will want to steal my vehicle!
GOOD NEWS:
Today, other than running after vehicle problems I went with Lance Hines and the "Book of Hope" Zambia team to a couple school assemblies. I am thinking it might be good to contact schools where they have distributed the Book of Hope, to see if they would like to use Seedlings in their Religious Education classes.
BAD NEWS:
It is going to be an awfully hot night for this red lobster...and I found the shade as often as I could!
GOOD NEWS:
I have been in touch with the Headmistress of Northmead's Sonshine School. They are having a Teacher's Workshop at the end of April and I have been invited to include Seedlings training. They should then be ready to start Seedlings classes in May when the next school term begins.
GOOD NEWS:
Bishop Sakala took me to a couple private schools to introduce me and Seedlings. One of the schools was looking for some Bible training for their teachers. We are looking into having SEEDS classes with them.
BAD NEWS:
Where do I get the SEEDS?
GOOD NEWS:
Seems there is more GOOD NEWS than BAD NEWS. Thank God for that!
