Update for May 23, 2005

Seedlings is on the move...to the Democratic Republic of Congo. Some time ago I had communication from Lucie Chouinard, from Quebec, saying the women from the Quebec District wanted to take Seedlings to Lubumbashi in the DRC. Yesterday I met with Joseph Mwaba to share the Seedlings vision, in preparation for the Quebec women who will come in November to distribute Seedbags and train teachers. Joseph is the Zambian missionary to the DRC and is quite keen to get the program going. After our discussions yesterday, Joseph realizes he has a big job, looking for the open doors to the schools of Lubumbashi. Each country faces its own challenges and Joseph will have some issues to face that we have not faced here in Zambia. 800 Seedlings Books in French, along with French New Testaments have been sent to the ERDO warehouse in Winnipeg for shipment to Zambia. From Kitwe, the goods will have to be taken into DRC. That too will have it's challenges I am sure. DRC border crossing is not one of the easiest in the world!
